Now roommates, Caroline has fully moved into Max's apartment but has no concept of personal space. She is even sharing Max’s bed, only to discover Max sleeps with a knife for protection.

Caroline becomes convinced that Max is suppressing her feelings about her ex-boyfriend, Robbie. When Robbie casually shows up in their bed—proposing a threesome because "they're all there anyway"—Caroline takes it upon herself to officially "break up" with him on Max's behalf.

Caroline hands Robbie his belongings and tells him off, but this backfires. Max is furious because she wanted to use her own wit to get closure.
