In the spring 2021 child seat test conducted by in collaboration with the ADAC , five out of 26 tested models failed with a "not recommended" (mangelhaft) rating. While most seats exceeded legal safety standards, these five models were flagged primarily due to high levels of harmful substances in their materials, with one also failing critical crash safety tests.
