The story of isn't a single narrative, but rather a digital ghost story that haunts the corners of the internet where retro gamers and "creepypasta" fans gather. It centers on the eerie discovery of a mysterious, unlabeled PlayStation disc in the late 1990s.

The "game" finally loaded into a first-person view of a desolate, grey concrete hallway. There were no enemies, no music, and no objective. Just the sound of Elias’s character walking. As he played, the hallway began to change: The walls started to "bleed" pixelated static. The rhythmic thumping grew faster and louder. Every few minutes, a text box would flash: The Final Room

After an hour of walking, Elias reached a heavy iron door. When he opened it, the game didn't show a new room. Instead, it showed a live feed of Elias sitting in his own room, viewed from the corner of his ceiling.
