Bromhexine (Bromgeksin) is a widely used mucolytic and expectorant medication primarily utilized to treat respiratory disorders characterized by thick, viscous mucus. It works by breaking down mucus fibers, making phlegm thinner and easier to cough up, thus easing chest congestion.
