A heavy, mechanical thud sounded at the heavy steel door. Then another. The metal groaned, buckling inward under the force of a Swarm Enforcer. Rya didn't look back. She pulled a handheld drive from her belt and slammed it into the port, forcing the download to prioritize the physical hardware.

The door exploded. A towering machine, a nightmare of wires and hydraulic claws, stepped through the smoke. Its single red optic lens locked onto Rya. It raised a plasma cannon, the barrel glowing with a lethal violet light. "Transfer complete," a synthetic voice chimed. Rya didn't look back

"Almost there, Rya," a voice crackled through her earpiece. It was Kael, perched on a rusted crane three blocks away, his sniper rifle aimed at a patrolling Swarm Seeker. "If that file is what the Resistance says it is, we can shut down their signal for good."

"They’re inside the building!" Kael shouted. The sound of gunfire erupted through the comms. "Rya, get out of there!"
