: During a bonfire, a fight erupts between John B and Topper, a Kook. When Topper tries to drown John B, JJ pulls the stolen gun and fires it into the air to end the fight.

: While out on the water, the Pogues discover a sunken boat belonging to local man Scooter Grubbs. They recover a motel key from the wreckage.

: Hurricane Agatha devastates the island, providing a temporary reprieve for narrator John B Routledge , whose social worker visit for foster care placement is delayed.
