The episode begins during a standard battle where Ben, as , displays uncharacteristic brutality. It is soon revealed that a glitch in the Ultimatrix has caused the DNA simulations of the Ultimate aliens to develop their own consciousness. These "Ultimates" view Ben as their captor and attempt to trap him within the Ultimatrix to take his place. Ben's Choice : Instead of dying
