Many sellers sell larvae "unsexed," meaning you won't know if you have a male with big mandibles or a female until they are older.

Tiny, fragile, and just hatched. High risk for beginners. L2 (Second Instar): Mid-sized and more resilient.

Many species (like Rainbow Stag Beetles) thrive in "Kinshi" (mycelium-filled jars). Others need fermented flake soil (decayed wood).

Remember that adult stag beetles may only live for a few months to a year, while the larval stage is the majority of their life.
